What is ArtXtravaganza?

First and foremost, ArtXtravaganza is an art sale. Celebrating its 20th year, ArtXtravaganza is the school’s largest fundraiser and is regarded as one of the premier art shows in the Southeast. ArtXtravaganza is a juried show that features artworks by 65+ juried artists – from paintings, handcrafted jewelry and pottery to glass art, sculpture and wood – at a variety of price points. ArtXtravaganza showcases the amazing range and diversity of artistic talent in the region and beyond, reinforces Webb’s regard for arts education and appreciation, connects our community with local and regional artists, and supports the pursuit of creative expression.

Where is ArtXtravagana located?

ArtXtravaganza takes place in the Lee Athletic Center on Webb School’s campus. Signs will be available around campus directing you to ArtXtravaganza.

EVERYONE! ArtXtravaganza is open to the public, so bring your family, friends and neighbors.

What is the admission price?

Zero! Free admission for everyone!

Oil, acrylic, watercolor, jewelry, pottery, glass, ceramic, wood, photography, printmaking, fiber

What does "juried artist" mean?

ArtXtravaganza is a juried art show. Our 7 to 10-person jury (depending on the year) meets about three to four times during September to select a wide variety of artists that we feel would work well for our show. We strive to bring in new artists, while also inviting some previously participating artists. Our goal is to provide a good mix of mediums, styles and price points.

Where do I park?

Feel free to park in any designated parking spot on campus. Volunteers are asked to park anywhere on campus other than at the Lee Athletic Center, so that our patrons can have access to a spot near the event.

How much of my purchase is tax-deductible and will I receive a receipt for it?

Thirty percent of your purchase is tax-deductible since it goes directly to Webb School. You will need to keep the receipt that you receive at the sale for tax purposes; we cannot reproduce a receipt for you at a later date.

Can I park up front to load my purchased artwork if it's too large to carry? Will someone be able to help me carry it to my car?

Yes, to both questions! There are two designated “loading spots” right up front at the entrance doors. And we’ll have volunteers all weekend to help load your car.

Why does Webb sponsor this event every year?

ArtXtravaganza is a celebration of art and community. It is one of our biggest fundraiser, and we welcome guests from all over the area to come and support these talented artists, while also helping to support Webb’s art department and other school programming.

Where does the money go?

Seventy percent of each purchase goes directly to the artist. The remaining 30 percent of each purchase helps support the school’s visual and performing arts and other educational programming. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from ArtXtravaganza will help fund a supportive grant to a local organization providing arts education or access in the community.

What is in the student art gallery?

The Student Art Gallery features works by Webb Lower, Middle and Upper School students. We are proud to showcase what our students are learning and creating through the school’s arts programs. We will also have an “artist in action” booth, featuring our student artists at work.

Is the artwork inside the student art gallery for sale?

We are asked that question a lot. The student artwork is for display only.

How do artists apply to participate in the show?

We accept applications online through Zapplication.com, usually from the beginning of May until the first of September.
